May The 4th Be With You

It sounds weird, but holidays are way more fun to celebrate when you have a baby! Last night I decorated a onesie for Bennett with a flag and the words "Born to be Free" around it. I feel so grateful that we truly live in a nation where we are free.

We went to the Rexburg Parade and enjoyed the floats and vehicles and other sights. We were afraid that Bennett was going to cry because of the loud police and fire truck sirens, but he only cried when he accidentally poked himself with his flag. His aunt (Andrew's sister) was playing in the marching band so it was fun to see her perform. I put a check mark above her head.

Then afterwards we just napped and later rejoined Andrew's family for dinner. We decided not to go to the fireworks (either in town or in Idaho Falls) because it would mess with Bennett's bedtime which he's beginning to fight anyway. But all in all, it was a fun holiday! I hope you all had fun celebrating with your families, I can't wait to hear about it. :)
